The logo design that Ion created for client David Bielobocky was a powerful image that represented the bond between man and nature. This design went on to win numerous awards locally, nationally and internationally.

Insurance industry leader Aetna saw that original logo and, recognizing the value of bringing a human element into a corporate identity, purchased a variation of the design to become part of the worldwide mark for Aetna US Insurance.

The unisex image, with arms uplifted, communicates health and well being in an elegant design. Without this crucial component as a foundation, the Aetna name and brand statement could represent any industry. With the addition of this powerful human symbol, the brand mark takes on powerful energy representing a key player in the healthcare industry.
