THIER NEED

The Catoctin Aqueduct is an historic canal structure located in the C&O Canal National Historic Park. The Catoctin Aqueduct Project is a broad based effort that is raising community awareness and funds restoration of the aqueduct.

The project needed a logo to communicate the need for community participation in restoring the historic structure, a website to provide information to the public, attract donors and serve as a conduit for online donations and an initial fund raising brochure.

OUR SOLUTION
By combining the graceful arches of the architecture of the Catoctin Aqueduct, with the image of supportive hands, the visual component of the logo emphasizes community participation and support.

THE EFFECT
The website gives viewers a history lesson on why the Catoctin Aqueduct is important, why the restoration is needed, and a conduit to online donations. The brochure echoes elements of the website and provides a response vehicle for potential donors and volunteers.
